SUMMERTIME IS ALWAYS THE BEST OF WHAT MIGHT BE!

                                                                                                                                                               CHARLES BOWDEN

Summer 2026 for JK - Gr 6

PROGRAMME

As always, summer at CECC will include lots of sunshine, water play, nature exploration and FUN! Our programme encompasses sports, drama, dance, arts & crafts, games, food experiences, and long-term projects related to the children’s interests.  There will be weekly bus trips to conservation areas, city parks, amusement centres, indoor playgrounds, etc. as well as weekly walking excursions to neighbourhood parks and splash pads.

Our daily routine prioritizes lots of time outdoors, flexible schedules, and the unhurried pace that summer should provide.

The detailed calendar of trips and events will be emailed out to children who are registered, by June 22nd, 2026.

Full fee families can choose not to register for the camp programme without jeopardizing their space in our Before & After Care programme for the coming year.
Full fee families who choose to register and then change their minds and withdraw, will be withdrawing from the Centre and will forfeit their space in Before & After Care.
Families receiving a Childcare fee subsidy from the City of Toronto, under the City’s subsidy agreement are entitled to only 20 consecutive days of absence. As camp is 45 days long, subsidized families would have to register for at least 2 sessions of camp. Alternatively, these families can request that their Caseworker arrange for a suspension of their subsidy. HOWEVER, this must be arranged prior to Registration Day for the Centre to accommodate.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Spaces are limited for the summer programme.

Priority is given to current families at both sites who have opportunity to register first on March 2nd, 2026. For current families, spaces are reserved on a first come-first served basis. Registration will be confirmed by email by the end of day on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Any remaining spaces will be offered to families on the summer waitlist according to the priorities of CECC’s waitlist policy
